Carolyn and Fletcher Gray’s MGISW I’m a Chatterbox (Munnings) returned to the worktab for the first time since running fifth in the GI Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff Nov. 5 at Santa Anita, breezing three furlongs in :36 4/5 at Fair Grounds Thursday. The Larry Jones-trained 4-year-old filly is being pointed for a start in the GIII Houston Ladies Classic Jan. 29 at Sam Houston.
Also working Thursday for Jones was Sagamore Farm and Brereton C. Jones’s ‘TDN Rising Star’ Chief Istan (Istan), who breezed a half-mile in :47 4/5 (3/56). Fox Hill Farms’ Cinnamon Spice (Candy Ride {Arg}), meanwhile, breezed five panels in 1:01 4/5 (16/45) Wednesday in advance of a start in the Tiffany Lass S. Monday in New Orleans.
