Horse, Dog & Sports Horse betting systems

I've had an interest in horse racing but am not sure how hard it would be to pick it all up.

Is anyone here earning a living for this or even sports betting?

Any tips to get started would be appreciated. Ive been told value betting is the best way.

Its a bit like the stock market. Theres winners and losers, then theres the bookie that always wins. You need to be better than other punters by enough to beat the bookies take.

The best thing about sports betting and the like is you can do it from home if you have a good system. I dont mean like a staking plan although that will help. Something like a system to select winning teams or horses.

I still dabble a bit in it but not anything serious. I mostly look at the payouts and if they're good I make a bet.

Like with horse there could be a field of 10 horses with fairly even chances of winning. The odds might be around 5-1 for one of them except one horse in a good barrier on a short race with odds of 9-1. That's a pretty big difference to make an example but even a small difference like 6-1 might be worth backing if its an even field.

Everything in gambling is odds compared to payout. Its the same with dogs, sports, horses.

Its more a question of is your payout better than the odds. Have you ever thought of using multiple bookies to exploit difference in payouts? Most of the time the differences are small if you are betting online. If you go the actual tracks and bet with local bookies you will find a bigger differences in payouts. Something to think about but no longer is it a convenience from home thing.
