MIND YOUR BISCUITS (c, 3, Posse–Jazzmane, by Toccet) followed up a strong showing in the Breeders’ Cup with his first Grade I victory in the GI Malibu S. at Santa Anita. A winner of the GII Amsterdam S. this summer at Saratoga, the chestnut was fifth in the GI King’s Bishop before running second in the GIII Gallant Bob. Sept. 24 at Parx. Finishing fast to be third in the GI Twinspires Breeders’ Cup Sprint, he was given a 7-2 chance in this feature and stalked the pace closer than usual in third through a :22.16 quarter. Sharp Azteca (Freud) moved to take command midway on the turn and edged clear, but Mind Your Biscuits angled out of the pocket smoothly at the top of the lane and took dead aim. Drifting a bit at the eighth pole, he soon straightened out and reeled in Sharp Azteca in the final 70 yards to score by a half-length in 1:20.81. The winner’s unraced dam is a half to Canadian champion Kimchi (Langfuhr). She is responsible for Mind Your Biscuits’s yearling full-sister and his weanling half-brother by Officer. Sales History: $47,000 Ylg ‘14 KEEJAN; $47,000 RNA Ylg ‘14 FTNAUG; $47,000 RNA 2yo ‘15 OBSAPR. Lifetime Record: 13-4-4-3, $675,366.
