Taking a good amount of early play before drifting up to 43-10 by post, the $175,000 KEENOV weanling buy came away well and sat in fifth past a :24.26 quarter. Starting to advance three-deep after a half in :47.84, the bay came five-wide by the top of the lane and closed stoutly to overtake pacesetter Curtis (First Defence) inside the sixteenth pole and inch away to a one-length triumph. The winner is the 18th for his freshman sire (by Dixie Union). His unraced dam is responsible for a yearling filly by Violence and foaled his full-brother this season before visiting Liam’s Map.
